Petitions

Slough Borough Council adopted a new petition scheme in July 2010. This scheme sets out the procedures for submitting a petition to the Council. If you would like further information on petitions please follow this link for a copy of the scheme: Slough's Petition Scheme

Paper petitions submitted to the Council are published on the Council's website.

As part of the scheme Slough provides an ePetition service, which allows ePetitions to be submitted and signed. This can allow access to a petition to a wider group of people.

E-petitions started on third party websites such as change.org can be accepted provided they meet the criteria for a valid petition as set out in paragraph 5 of the Council’s scheme. For example, petitions must be submitted to democratic services and include the names and addresses of signatories so that we can verify that people who have signed the petition live, work or study in Slough.

If you have any further questions about petitions please contact Democratic Services by emailing democracy@slough.gov.uk .
