Drugs and Alcohol Policy & Testing

This decision records the fact that a new Drug and Alcohol Policy and Testing was agreed by the Chief Executive under delegated powers on 10th December 2024. A report will be provided to the next meeting of the Employment Committee with further details of the revised policy.

With the upcoming Christmas period, there is heightened concern that services may face increased vulnerability to employees attending work under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This time of year, significantly amplifies these risks, necessitating timely and decisive action.
