The Borough Secretary and Solicitor recalled that it had been intended for a number of years to revise the Employee Code of Conduct but that the matter had been delayed because the Local Government Association had been promising for sometime to produce a model code for use by local government generally.  To-date this had not materialised and accordingly it had been decided to look at the Council’s current Employee Code of Conduct with a view to redrafting and updating it where necessary.  It was proposed that the redrafted Code would be submitted to the Committee’s next meeting scheduled to be held on 12^th January, 2009. 

Resolved – That the current position be noted.
