Resolved –  That the minutes of the meeting of the Commercial Sub-Committee held on 16^th December 2019 be approved.

It is recommended that the Press and Public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the item in Part 2 of the Agenda, as it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the Authority holding the information) as defined in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (amended).

Part II

The Sub-Committee was updated on the final stages of the contract negotiations with the Council’s leisure services provider, Everyone Active, arising from the closure and subsequent partial reopening of leisure facilities.  An approach was agreed for future contract arrangements.

The Sub-Committee considered and made decisions on a number of potential disposals of Council assets which were in line with agreed strategies and would generate capital receipts to alleviate some of the financial pressures arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
