The licences for the Council’s citrix
services & Cisco servers are due to expire on 31.03.22. A
competitive competition was undertaken which split the tender into
3 lots. No bids were received for Lot 1 and one bid was returned
for both Lot 2 and 3. Procurement recommended IT approach the
incumbent supplier for Lot 1 for a quotation and subsequent
contract award and award contracts for Lot 2 & 3 as permitted
in the competitive competition.
The one-year contract was approved to ensure the Council has
continued access to business applications, files, and IT services
via citrix or remotely via the Council’s citrix portal and
VPN padlock.
The Director approved the award of: -
A one-year contract to Phoenix Software via the government crown
commercial framework for the supply of the Council’s Citrix
licences from 01.04.22 – 31.03.23.
A one-year contract to CDW via government crown commercial
framework for the support & maintenance for the Council’s
Cisco Servers from 01.04.22 – 31.03.23.
A one-year contract to Ivanti for the support & maintenance for
Ivanti (Appsense) from 01.04.22 – 31.03.23.

per the Council’s Corporate Procurement Rules (CPRs). The
competitive was split under 4 lots
• Lot 1: Ivanti DesktopNow
• Lot 2: Citrix Virtual App and Desktops Licence and
Support
• Lot 3 Cisco Unified Communications Server (UCS)
Support
There were no bids returned for Lot 1 which indicated that there
was no competition for Ivanti in the market. To ensure continuation
of service, Procurement recommended IT approach the incumbent
supplier for a quotation and subsequent contract award.
One bid was received for Lot 2. This was Phoenix Software who were
awarded a one-year contract for the Council’s Citrix Virtual
Apps & Desktops licences.
One bid was received for Lot 3. This was CDW who were awarded a
one-year contract for the Council’s support & maintenance
for the Council’s Cisco Servers
